Puerto Rican soprano Gabriela Stoloff-Báez, holds a Bachelors of Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Masters of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her journey includes performances with renowned organizations such as Opera Parallèle, Opera Theatre of St. Louis (OTSL), Seraphic Fire, and the Savannah Voice Festival. She has premiered multiple operatic roles and is passionate about both contemporary and traditional operatic styles. She is a winner of the Oregon District (2023), award recipient of the North West Region of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition, and recieved the 2024 Elihu Hyndman Memorial Award from Opera Theatre of St. Louis. As a transitioned mezzo-soprano to soprano she is eager to continue to explore new stories and music to share with the world. Her biggest aspiration is to promote repertoire that celebrates diversity, multiplicity, social justice, and humanity.
